現在はソロシンガーとして、音楽、ファッション、エッセイなど幅広く活動。
第3回となるリサイタルを2009年9月22日に恵比寿ザ・ガーデンホールにて敢行。
10月20日にはフェルナンダ・タカイとのコラボミニCD「Maki-Takai NO JETLAG」をリリースした。

As vocalist in the 90's act Pizzicato Five, was active both at home in Japan and abroad.
Now as a solo artist, is involved in a wide variety of fields including music, fashion and essay writing.
Held a 3rd recital at Ebisu Garden Hall on Sept, 9, 2009.
Released "Maki-Takai NO JETLAG", a collaboration with Fernanda Takai, on Oct. 20th.
